Use the PDF to Word in three steps
Choose a PDF
Select a text-based PDF from your device.
Convert the text
The tool reads each page and builds a Word document.
Download DOCX
Open the result in Word or another compatible editor.
What is preserved
Readable text and page boundaries are carried into the DOCX. Simple paragraphs usually transfer more cleanly than complex columns, tables, or designed brochures.
Scanned PDFs need OCR
A scan may contain only page images and no selectable text. This local converter does not perform optical character recognition, so image-only scans require a separate OCR process.
PDF to Word FAQ
Will the Word file match the PDF layout exactly?+
No. The tool prioritizes editable text and page separation rather than pixel-perfect layout reproduction.
Why is my converted document empty?+
The PDF may be a scan, protected, or built without readable text objects.
Can this converter read a scanned document?+
Not unless the scan already contains a text layer. Image-only pages require OCR, which this local converter does not perform.
Are PDF images copied into the Word file?+
No. The current converter focuses on extracting readable text and page breaks.
What happens to tables and columns?+
Their text may be extracted, but the original table cells, columns, fonts, and precise placement are not rebuilt in DOCX.
Which applications can open the result?+
The DOCX can be opened by current versions of Microsoft Word and other editors that support the Office Open XML format.
